The Special Olympic Scarves are going in the mail today to Tennessee. Kentucky reached their goal of 285 scarves!! Tennessee has a goal of 367 and has 272. So off to Tennessee they go!! Thanks to Adell and Sandy who knitted or crocheted 3 each.

Downtown Coffee Bar is once again participating in desserts First, a fundraising event for Girl Scouts, on Saturday, January 28th at the Luther F. Carson Center. It is a great night with desserts made from Girl Scout cookies. We have chosen the Thank U Berry Much cookie and will begin expermenting soon for our wonderful desssert. Information is below should you wish to by a ticket.

In January of 2012, Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana’s Bear Creek Service Center will hold its fourth annual Desserts First fundraising event. Paducah’s finest restaurant chefs will create original desserts using the well-known Girl Scout Cookie varieties as the key ingredient and present them for tasting at the Carson Center in Paducah. This signature event is open to the public at large and will create an opportunity in which guests may network and enjoy an evening with friends, while sampling delicious, one-of-a-kind desserts created for this event. The evening will also include music, hors d’oeuvres, auctions, a judging crowning the best dessert of the event, and many more surprises!
Tickets: $30.
Corporate tables: $1000.
